http://www.ruthkristoff.com/gallery/main.php My intent and purpose is that my work both provokes and engages the viewer. I strive to codify the intangible; like the scar tissue of dreams, the presence of beings now absent or the human need for sustenance of any form.

As I show the work to others, an unplanned purpose becomes apparent. My forms, metaphorically, become the common ground for this shared experience. The exchange of human dialog, initiated by my imagery, pleases me. The work is a form of expression and communication that serves as my voice.

The work gives me purpose. The work makes me healthy.
The work is my vehicle to convey those things for which I have no words.
